As of April 27, 2018
We currently anticipate a public meeting with members of the City of Fort Lauderdale Transportation and Mobility department , to discuss the remediation of safety issues and concerns along the Riverland Road corridor. The time and place of this meeting have not been determined.
This will be a VERY important public meeting. The future of your neighborhood will depend on your involvement. We will need everyone to attend, even if you have not been attending our regular meetings. Details to follow as soon as they become available. Public announcements and flyers will be prepared and mailed by the city to local residents.
Mark Cantor (a member of the Riverland Preservation Society board of directors) is our point person in this process. He has been involved in meetings with Broward County MOT and the City of Fort Lauderdale and will keep us up-to-date on any developments.
A big hats-off to Mark Cantor for his knowledge and dedication in working towards resolving traffic safety, speeding and cut-through traffic along Riverland Road.
